4.4 Local App Data and User-Selected Content

Depending on the App features, you may create, import, save, edit, scan, print, or process content in the App. Unless otherwise stated, such content is stored locally on your device and is not uploaded to our business servers.

Local app data may include:

  • PDF files, images, photos, scans, generated PDFs, notes, email attachments, and web page print outputs selected or created by you;
  • contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, and contact photo information when you choose to print contact content;
  • app settings, language settings, onboarding state, cache data, temporary files, imported share files, and generated scan files;
  • print history, print job names, task identifiers, page counts, status, recent printers, connected printer list, and saved printable files;
  • local printer information such as printer name, IP address, port, URL, protocol, brand, model, serial number, IPP attributes, Bonjour service, and availability status.

Deleting the App, clearing storage, or deleting content inside the App where supported may delete local app data. Subscription cancellation must be handled separately through Apple App Store or Google Play Store settings.

4.5 Web Page Printing and Third-Party Web Content

If you enter or open an HTTP or HTTPS web page for printing, the App may load that page in a system WebView. The URL and web content are provided by the website you choose to visit and may be subject to that website's own terms and privacy policy.

4.6 Sensitive or Special Category Data

The App is not designed to collect sensitive personal information such as health data, biometric data, precise location, financial account details, government identifiers, or children's data. Please do not submit such information unless a specific App feature clearly requires it and you choose to provide it.

5. Device Permissions Checklist

The App may request device permissions only when needed for specific features.

5.1 Photos, Media, or Photo Library Permission

Photos, media, or photo library access is used to import or select images and photos that you choose to print. We access only the content you select or the permission scope you grant.

5.2 Files and Documents Permission

Files or document access is used to import PDF, image, TXT, or other supported files, receive shared files, generate printable files, and manage local print records.

5.3 Camera Permission

Camera access is used for document scanning and capturing paper documents to generate printable images or PDF files.

5.4 Contacts Permission

Contacts access is used when you choose to generate printable contact content. The App may process contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, and contact photo information needed for that feature.

5.5 Local Network and Nearby Wi-Fi Devices

Local network, Bonjour, multicast, and nearby Wi-Fi device access may be used to discover or connect to printers on the same local network, read printer attributes, and send print jobs to compatible printers.

5.6 Network Access

Network access may be used for feedback submission, analytics events, subscription verification, app store links, legal page display, web page printing, IPP/local printer communication, and customer support.

5.7 App Tracking Transparency

On iOS, where required, we request permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework before tracking you across apps or websites owned by other companies. You can manage tracking permissions in your device settings.

5.8 Permission Controls

You may manage or revoke permissions through your device settings. Some features may not work properly if required permissions are disabled.

6. Third-Party SDKs and Service Providers

We may use service providers to operate, analyze, secure, improve, monetize, and support the App. Based on the current product analysis, relevant services may include:

  • Apple App Store, StoreKit, and App Store Server API for app distribution, subscriptions, receipts, transaction validation, refunds, and subscription management.
  • Google Play Store and Google Play services for app distribution, store links, ratings, and Android platform services. Google Play Billing should be disclosed if enabled in the released version.
  • Mobiaura event analytics service at tomata-event.mobiaura.com for event analytics, app launch events, feature events, purchase events, ATT status events, and service improvement.
  • Mobiaura feedback service at tomata.mobiaura.com for user feedback, support email, feedback subject, feedback content, and technical request headers. Feedback parameters may be encrypted before transmission.
  • qs_ios_purchase for iOS subscription purchase, restore purchase, transaction verification, and entitlement status.
  • app_tracking_transparency for requesting and recording ATT authorization status.
  • ip_location for public IP or IP-related diagnostic information used in support request headers.
  • device_info_plus, package_info_plus, connectivity_plus, flutter_secure_storage, shared preferences or local storage tools for device context, app context, network type, app-generated identifiers, and local settings.
  • printing, file_picker, image_picker, document scanning tools, VisionKit on iOS, flutter_contacts, WebView, url_launcher, share extensions, and file/PDF processing libraries for local print, scan, contact, document, web page, and sharing workflows.
  • Firebase Core / Firebase Analytics and related Google measurement components may be present in the project. The current analysis indicates iOS Analytics is disabled and direct business usage was not confirmed. If enabled in a release, Firebase Analytics must be disclosed in the App Store, Google Play, and this Privacy Policy consistently.
  • Apple Search Ads attribution tooling may be present. If enabled in a release, attribution data processing and any relationship with tracking authorization must be disclosed consistently.

We do not use the App to process health data, precise location, biometric data, AI prompts, user accounts, or advertising network data unless those practices are separately enabled and disclosed.

7. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes, depending on the App features and SDKs:

  • to provide, operate, maintain, and improve printing, scanning, file import, contact printing, note printing, web page printing, printer discovery, and print history features;
  • to process, verify, restore, and manage subscriptions and in-app purchases;
  • to provide customer support, receive feedback, troubleshoot issues, and respond to inquiries;
  • to analyze app performance, usage, stability, conversion, purchase flows, and feature effectiveness;
  • to detect, prevent, and troubleshoot crashes, bugs, fraud, abuse, and security issues;
  • to operate local network printer discovery, IPP/Bluetooth or system printing functions where supported;
  • to comply with legal obligations, platform rules, and enforce our Terms.

8. Legal Bases for Processing

Where applicable data protection law requires a legal basis, we process personal data based on one or more of the following:

  • Performance of a contract: to provide the App, subscriptions, purchased features, customer support, and requested services.
  • Consent: for optional permissions, ATT tracking authorization, photo/library access, contacts access, camera access, local network access, or other optional features where consent is required.
  • Legitimate interests: to maintain security, prevent fraud, debug issues, improve app performance, understand feature usage, and support our business, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligations: to comply with applicable laws, tax, accounting, platform, consumer protection, and regulatory requirements.

9. How We Share Information

We may share information only as described below:

  • Service providers: vendors that help us operate, analyze, secure, improve, monetize, and support the App.
  • App marketplaces: Apple and Google process purchases, subscriptions, refunds, app distribution, and platform account-related information under their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Printing and system services: user-selected content may be provided to system print services, local printers, share targets, mail apps, web views, or other services you choose to use.
  • Analytics and attribution providers: analytics or attribution providers may process event, device, purchase, and authorization status data where enabled and permitted.
  • Legal and safety reasons: we may disclose information if required by law, legal process, platform rules, or to protect rights, safety, security, and prevent fraud or abuse.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
  • With your direction or consent: we may share information when you request a feature that requires sharing or when you give consent.

10. International Data Transfers

We and our service providers may process information in countries or regions other than where you live. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your jurisdiction.

Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers, such as contractual protections, platform controls, data processing agreements, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

11. Data Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information:

  • local app data remains on your device unless you delete it, clear App data, or uninstall the App;
  • imported files, scans, generated PDFs, print history, and recent printer records may remain in local storage or cache until deleted or cleared;
  • support emails and feedback may be retained for customer service, dispute resolution, and legal record purposes;
  • analytics and diagnostic data may be retained for a limited period according to the settings of our analytics or diagnostics providers;
  • subscription and purchase records may be retained as required for entitlement verification, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, platform compliance, and dispute handling;
  • server logs may be retained for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect information. Feedback parameters may be encrypted in transit by the App before submission, and app-generated identifiers may be stored using secure storage where supported. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

You are responsible for keeping your device, operating system, app store account, local files, printer network, and device backup secure.

13. Your Choices and Controls

Depending on your device, platform, region, and the App features, you may have the following choices:

  • manage or revoke App permissions in your device settings;
  • manage subscriptions through Apple App Store or Google Play Store settings;
  • restore purchases in the App where supported;
  • manage tracking authorization on iOS;
  • avoid using optional features that require camera, photos, files, contacts, local network, web page loading, or feedback submission;
  • delete local data by deleting content where supported, clearing App data where supported by the operating system, or uninstalling the App;
  • contact us to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or other privacy rights where applicable.

14. Regional Privacy Notice and Supplemental Rights

This section provides supplemental privacy notices for users in certain countries, regions, and states. Some rights and obligations apply only if the relevant law applies to us, to the App, to the type of data we process, or to your location.

14.1 How to Exercise Privacy Rights

You may submit a privacy request by contacting us at mobiaura@qq.com. Depending on your location and applicable law, your rights may include the right to:

  • request access to personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • request deletion of personal data;
  • request restriction of processing;
  • object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • request a copy of personal data in a portable format;
  • opt out of targeted advertising, sale, sharing, or certain profiling where applicable;
  • appeal our decision where a privacy law provides an appeal right;
  • complain to a data protection authority or regulator.

We may need to verify your request before responding. Because the App does not require account registration, we may ask you to provide information sufficient to locate relevant records, such as support email history, app-generated identifier, transaction identifier, purchase receipt, device platform, or other information you voluntarily provide.

14.2 EEA, European Union, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, the GDPR, UK GDPR, Swiss FADP, or similar local laws may apply. The controller or responsible provider of the App is HK MobiAura. You may contact us regarding privacy matters at mobiaura@qq.com.

Subject to applicable law and limitations, you may have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, withdraw consent, receive data portability, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

14.3 Tracking, SDK Consent, Cookies, and Similar Technologies

The App, our website, and third-party SDKs may use local storage, device identifiers, SDK identifiers, attribution technologies, or similar technologies. Where required by law, we request consent before using non-essential tracking technologies for purposes such as cross-app tracking, attribution, analytics, or remarketing.

You may manage tracking choices through iOS App Tracking Transparency settings, Android privacy or advertising settings where supported, in-app settings where available, and browser settings for our website.

14.4 California Privacy Notice: CCPA / CPRA and CalOPPA

This section applies to California residents where California privacy laws apply. Depending on the App version, we may collect identifiers, device information, internet or electronic network activity, approximate location inferred from IP address, commercial information related to subscriptions or purchases, user-selected files or content, contact content selected by you, diagnostic data, and analytics data.

We use these categories for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the App, subscriptions, customer support, analytics, diagnostics, security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and service improvement.

We do not sell personal information for money. If any analytics or attribution practice is considered a sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or cross-context behavioral advertising under applicable U.S. privacy laws, you may opt out by using device settings, in-app settings where available, or contacting us at mobiaura@qq.com.

California residents may have the right to know, access, delete, correct, opt out of sale or sharing, limit certain sensitive personal information uses where applicable, and not receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights.

14.5 Other U.S. State Privacy Rights

Residents of certain U.S. states may have additional rights depending on the applicable law, including rights to confirm processing, access data, correct inaccuracies, delete data, obtain a portable copy, opt out of targeted advertising or sale, and appeal denied requests.

14.6 Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Brazil, India, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Other Regions

Users in these and other regions may have privacy rights under local laws, including rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object, withdraw consent, request portability, or complain to relevant authorities. Where local law provides additional rights or protections, we will honor those rights as required. You may contact us at mobiaura@qq.com to submit a request.

14.7 Conflicts Between Regional Terms

If a regional privacy law gives you greater rights than the general terms of this Privacy Policy, the applicable regional law will control for users protected by that law. If a section does not apply to your location, App version, feature, or data practice, it should not be interpreted as an admission that we are subject to that law or that we collect that category of data.

15. Children's Privacy

Unless expressly stated in the App and supported by a dedicated child-specific privacy notice, the App is not directed to children under the age of 13, children under the age of 16, or the minimum age required by applicable local law.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate parental consent where required. If you believe that a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us at mobiaura@qq.com.

16. No User Account by Default

The App does not require users to create an in-app account by default. Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are associated with your Apple Account or Google Account, not an in-app account.

Because we may not have a direct user account record for you, certain data access or deletion requests may require you to provide information sufficient for us to locate relevant records, such as support email history, transaction identifiers, or app-generated identifiers.

17. Account and Data Deletion

If the App does not have an account system, you can delete local app data by deleting content inside the App where supported, clearing App storage where supported by your operating system, or uninstalling the App. Subscription cancellation must be handled separately through Apple App Store or Google Play Store settings.

18. Third-Party Links and Services

The App may contain links to third-party websites, services, app stores, support pages, payment platforms, web pages selected by you, or local printers selected by you. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. Please review their privacy policies before using their services.

19. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted in the App, on our website, or through other appropriate channels. The "Last Updated" date indicates when this Privacy Policy was last revised.

If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where required by law or platform rules.
